Beyond Fashion is an annual experimental fashion design event hosted by RIT. In fall of 2024, I was tasked with designing a motion graphics piece that would play on a large screen overlooking the runway for that year’s show. I wanted to create a piece that looked something like scraps of fabric or paper mache, which inspired the shifting layers of colored shapes, as well as the textured overlay. At the same time I didn’t want to distract from the runway outfits, which were the main focus of the show, so I kept it simple.
