Welcome to 1986
Welcome to 1986 was my final project for my New Media Design Experimental class during my fourth year at RIT. Using TouchDesigner, I programmed a simple, audio reactive motion design experience with an 80s vibe. The cubes, made with TOP instances, were linked to the imported audio using CHOPs, which is what makes them bounce to the beat of the song. They also rotate when the “1” key is pressed, also through a series of CHOPs.
The full node network can be seen below. I had never used TouchDesigner before starting this project, so it was a fun challenge to work on.
